GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school has done, in my opinion, the bare minimum to get me ready for college. However, to prepare me for a career, they have excelled.

West Florida has great teachers that helped greatly get me ready for Dual Enrollment. They pushed me to be my best and encouraged me to keep up with my hobbies whilst maintaining my studies.

got bullied to the point where i did not feel safe even though i informed multiple teachers and administrators nothing was done to help. i was also harassed and thought this school (like many likes) to say that they don't tolerate bullying they failed me, they allowed the bullying and harassment to persist with only minor repercussions for the other person. to me this school was hostile, and somewhere that some children especially already vulnerable children will not be able to sustain a healthy mental health or academic career and for the most part no one here is going to help you do so. i would love to see this problem be solved but there is not much pressure on them to do that. i think it would be great if they prioritized mental health before academics, and if they stood by their word when they say how "bullying is not tolerated at WFHS" but i don't see that happening anytime soon and i wouldn't be at that school to see it happen because it got so bad i had to drop out.

I am going, to be honest, I did not have the best experience at WF. It never felt like a happy place to be. I have never been excited to go to school. I always dread going to school. It almost feels as if it is a jail especially with the new gate it just looks even more like one. It is a jail you go...

Great Honors/AP/Dual enrollment programs, tons of clubs to be apart of, and plenty of sports to choose from. Safe environment, very happy

My daughter is very involved in her high school and has always felt safe and accepted. It seems as though the kids here care less about the typical high schooler ideals and more about excelling in their academia/activities. With my daughter being somewhat 'nerdy', this is a great relief. The honors...

My Daughter has been at WFH for a year and just started her second year. I have not been disappointed. I feel confident she is recieving and outstanding education! She speaks very highly of her teachers and remains very involved with an array of extra curricular activities. I don't hear from teacher...
