GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Community Academy of Philadelphia is a Pre-K-12 public charter school in Philadelphia and I have been enrolled since I was in 6th grade and my experience has been great. Some of the best parts of the experience I had at this school is the security at this school where they make sure every aspect of the school is safe for all students and also make sure students don't bring in anything that can cause harm which I like because I want to feel safe at my school and this school makes sure that I am. Some of the worst parts of my experience I would have to say is that the school is pretty small so there are less classes and as well as less AP classes than a typical high school. What I would like to see change about the school is that they add more classes so students can have more variety when selecting what classes they want in their schedule.

Throughout my career in Philadelphia's educational and nonprofit sectors, I've encountered an organization where appearances trump substance. That company is Community Academy of Philadelphia. The dean's approach is criticized for being overly authoritative and not conducive to a nurturing learning...

This school is literally the worst. I just pulled my 13 year old son who was in the 8th grade, this is the only school he's ever attended and my 7 year old. Through all that time they just never could seem to get it together. From my son being beat up on the school bus in the 3rd, until the school b...
