GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall needs more attention on whole school activities/learning rather then all in one "boat" This school definitely needs improvement on teachers teaching, awareness on kids involvement and attention to your arts department.

Overall my experience at Alhambra High School was ok, it wasn't the best neither the worst. the food is always the same and most of it is flavorless, or is a quite cold, or it feels like is old. My teachers were always nice, ready to teach and always willing to help.

I liked that we had a whole class period every day dedicated to doing homework and finishing any tests or projects. The teachers are very understanding and multiple opportunities are given to students to make sure that their grades are good.

This school was a top academic school in 1963 through about the early '90's. Now it has barbed-wire on the fence tops and low college prep capability. Says a lot about how the demographics changed. Truly sad!
