The couches and teaches care about you and want you to succeed throughout you high school years. There are many opportunities that you are able to have. Such as being able to take college courses or being part of many different CTE programs so you can figure out what type of career you would like to go into. A disadvantage is that at Goldwater they care a lot about the IB program and want most students to join and once you start the program it is extremely hard to get out of the program.

This year was my first year in Arizona so it was hard for me to adapt, but the teachers here are very helpful as well as the staff and some of the students. The hardest part about adjusting was because all of the students here at Barry seem to have their own clique, and I felt like it was harder trying to make friends since everyone only talked to the people they knew.

I haven't been at the school physically because I recently moved to Arizona. I would say that it is an overall good school just based on how they chose to tackle the online learning portion of it all.

Overall, Goldwater is underwhelming. The counseling department needs some serious work, seeming how there is no emphasis on college. I have heard that some counselors will tell kids to not go to college because they won’t be successful or that their intended career/ degree is a waste. There are some...

The IB program is very impressive. Both of my children loved their classes and found the curriculum challenging but not ridiculously overwhelming. I definitely feel it did a good job preparing them for college level coursework.
