Nestled in a residential community near the base of South Mountain, Maxine O. Bush Elementary is a public school serving children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade as part of the Roosevelt School District. In addition to a core curriculum integrated with STEAM, the school offers a music program for all students, physical education, student council, and a My Kid Reads literacy and parenting program sponsored by Arizona State University. In addition, teachers incorporate digital technology into the entire learning program with every student receiving a personal iPad for schoolwork. Outside of the classroom, students can also pursue their passions with opportunities to thrive through art galleries and murals, choir, dance, performing arts, rhythm line, and video production. If they’re more interested in developing leadership skills, they can participate in a renowned community service program. Among the programs offered by the district, students can also participate in a gifted program, get free breakfasts, and get involved in before- and after-school activities ranging from Mad Science and LEGO Building Bonanza to reading club and disc golf, among others. More athletic students can build Wildcats team spirit while competing in rugby, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and cheer. Throughout the year, students can always find opportunities to grow every day at Maxine O. Bush Elementary.

Easy in and easy out for drop off and pick up. Great teachers that care about the kids. Located in an upend coming area, this...

This was our first public school and we loved it. The biggest mistake was moving the vice principal but that was the district's choice. We had a good experience and my girls learned alot. Plus free breakfast, lunch, and afterschool programs to support families.
