With a mission to empower students in mind, body, and spirit, Paideia Academy serves hundreds of children in kindergarten through twelfth grade in the South Mountain neighborhood of Phoenix.
At Paideia Academy, faculty adopt a Leader in Me program to foster leadership qualities in all of their students. The academy hosts Paideia Seminars that use the Socratic method to nurture social skills and critical thinking during lessons, all of which helps students build more self-confidence and foster a stronger sense of belonging with their peers.
Outside of the core curriculum, students can thrive creatively in an arts and music education program that includes recitals and opportunities to showcase their work. In addition, the academy integrates innovative learning programs such as Nexus nature play, where students can explore nature and learn in a Whole-Person Sanctuary that includes gardens, trees, a koi pond, poultry, and all kinds of plants.
Paideia also incorporates an AgriSTEAM program that focuses on hands-on learning to help students get a deeper understanding of topics and projects, following elevated instruction on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
When it comes to other particulars, the tuition-free academy offers an after-school care program and accepts students from outside its district.

Lots of teacher who hardly speak English, they took out phonic out of learning so the kids can't spell or read. They do not give real homework ( no homework packet) so its hard for parents to be involved in the kids learning because you dont know what the kids are learning.

I like that the teachers really try there best to provide my children with the help they need and the best education possible. They encourage there students and reward them with praise. What I don't like is how unorganized pick up and drop off is. Takes a whole hour to pick my kids up sometimes. Plus I wish there was a principal list honor roll in place for kids that have good grades. Other than that my kids will stay here until they graduate.
