Although Villa Montessori was founded in the 1960s, the school became a public charter school for children in kindergarten through eighth grade in 1995. This institution continues to provide private education and care for children in pre-kindergarten, including infants and toddlers, for the central Phoenix area. Here, the faculty believe all of their students “deserve a world that is fair, just, honest, and equitable.” With this sentiment at heart, Villa Montessori openly expresses a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a Montessori school, the teaching methods focus on student-led learning through exploration, discovery, and self-discipline. Through a curriculum that is based on the ages and stages of human development, students progress at their own individual pace, use all of their senses, and learn beyond just academics. In tandem while learning in core subjects, students also acquire life skills, self-esteem, confidence, positive values, creativity, and motivation to become lifelong learners. The methods work, as students at Villa Montessori earn test scores in reading and math well above the state average. To help students thrive in personal interests, the school also offers before- and after-school enrichment classes and activities including chess, cooking, dance, recycled art, science club, sewing club, Spanish, Taekwondo, Things That Fly, and yoga, among many others. With a commitment to individuality, Villa Montessori strives to unlock the potential of all its students.

My son attended Villa from age 2 thru 8th grade. He is now in a respected public HS at the end of his freshman year. All As. Has excelled so far in an advanced HS program. The lack of foreign language training at Villa is the result of choices and trade offs that every school has to make. No school...

My daughter has attended Villa since the infant room. I can’t say enough wonderful things about ever teacher that we have entrusted with our daughter - Ms. Victoria in the infant room, Ms. Jeni in Toddler 2 (we missed Toddler 1 because of COVID), and now Ms. Maria in primary. The school is inclusive...
