GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I felt that I wasn't granted enough trust while attending Penn Hills senior high school, as well as not given enough opportunities to challenge my self and have a positive and productive education.

My experience is very good overall. There are some things that could change we don't have the resources to help students who need help and learning is hard because there is only one teacher in the room and they can't help all the students.

The best part is definetly the sports and facilities they offer here. Amazing people to work with everyday and amazing people on the teams. The worst part is probably the food. It's lunch but not something I particularly want every day.

As a community member we appreciate this school. Students who live in our neighborhood are respectful and helpful. We enjoy attending plays at the school, which are well done. Good job Penn Hills High!

They ignore personal promblems of students but that's likely a racial thing. The school(like most schools) is dominated by athletics and the athletes are treated with significant nepotism. Send you're child herenifnthey play football or if you are poor.

As a parent I find that our school has a lot to offer students. We have a wonderful music/theatre department, art department that offers ceramics and digital photography, forensics and anatomy classes the list goes on as to the experiences our students receive. The new building is state of the art b...

I find it amazing that the diversity listed for this school makes a difference. So what if 57% are black, a good student is a good student, good teachers are good teachers and to redline our district because of the percentage of minorities is atrocious. Penn Hills is a great place to grow up, be edu...
