GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I would like more help for students struggling with mental health often the counselors brush off the idea and only focus on college planning. I really loved the amount of elective options and the AP classes also programs to help students explore future careers.

My experience at high school was very positive. The best parts are definitely the staff and how welcomed they make you feel. Not only are they your teachers but they help you with any questions you have, they are honestly the best. The worse part is probably lunch options, they don't give many options and it is very repetitive with each lunch. I am picky but I hope in the future it can be better.

Shaler High school has helped me become a very well rounded student. The guidance counselor's are absolutely amazing and have put me on the right path for my future. I can not say anything bad about Shaler; I am the person I am today because of my school.

Never once did I feel accommodated or cared for as a student here. I spent a lot of my school days in the guidance counselor (I have extreme mental...

At this school you will never achieve what you have planned to. Between the lack of support from teachers and administration your student will never be able to get the help needed to get anywhere.Homework: The type of homework they give will not teach you anything. It is all just work that the teach...

This is the school you attend to stay AVERAGE. Nothing great happens here. NOTHING. The principals are average, the teachers are average, the coaches are average......There is much satisfaction in mediocrity. If you strive for excellence, or if you just have a choice, move just a bit more to the nor...

Abysmal. Unsure of how any student who graduates from this district is prepared for higher education. If they are, it is DESPITE their high school experience, not because of it.
