GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Arthur P. Schalick was my high school for my junior and senior year. Our graduating class was 130 students. Their school spirit is beyond any other. Schalick's staff is kind and helpful. The school as a whole is like a family. Everyone looks out for each other and they boost your confidence and ability to want to learn.

APSHS is generally a good school. The staff and administration are mostly incredibly friendly and genuinely care about the well-being of the students and the district. The student body is less than kind, but the staff make up for that. The selection of sports is decent, while the coaches are dedicated to the players and the teams. Since the teachers are generally excellent, academic students thrive at the school.

Great school. Very positive environment. Pushes students to do their best and get in involved in a large variety of activities within the district. Excellent academic program with challenging teachers for all level of students.

This is a very quality school where you will meet a range of people from different ethnic backgrounds and, more importantly, economic backgrounds. As a high-achieving student, the inability to take lots of APs (only 8 offered) was annoying, but the APs you do take will get you a 5 if you try.

Excellent teachers, excellent curriculum. The community really rallies around the school. We were at another district and so glad we made the move.
