This school has been very fun and has aided me in developing lifelong friendships and knowledge. However, the small atmosphere is a little bit restricting and there is no class rankings because of the small class sizes. Additionally there are few class options and most classes are mandatory.

The school is not rigorous and has mediocre teachers. However, the teachers do not provide value and just read the powerpoints and notes, etc. Better off at public school with more academic options and such.

The academics are subpar to be honest. Many of the teachers are caring and good, but there are a few bad apples which really sour the bunch. I had a connection with a friend who used to come here but had left. He was now going to Centennial High and was two years ahead of me. The community is fairly Christian. They teach good values, but some of the students are fake and espouse ungodly values. They don't have many resources, but if you are looking for a small but close friend group then CDA is good. Overall, if you are academic, athletic, or a large community try John Paul II or Denton Calvary Academy.

We are in our 8th year year at CDA, and we have nothing but good things to say. The curriculum is rigorous and effective, and the teachers are top notch. It is an efficient use of time because parents are utilized on home days to review, help with papers and projects, and supervise additional work....

Amazing. We’ve been here for over 9 years and not only have my students grown in knowledge, but in wisdom. This is not a school for everyone, seeing as it is both classical and collaborative, and not all families like or are able to do that, but it has been a perfect fit for us!

CDA has been a huge blessing to our family. We love the collaborative approach. The curriculum is outstanding and we can not be happier with the staff.
