GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It is an amazing school with amazing teachers who really care for their students. I love the school so much but I really didn't fit in with the students there because it is a very country school and that's just not me.

I love this high school because it's a very small, tight knit community. Everyone has each other's backs, even when you aren't in the same social groups. The teachers are fantastic and always care about their students.

I started attending Pleasant Plains when I was a freshman in high school. It was a hard transition because I barely knew anyone, but eventually I made some friends and enjoyed school.

When we first moved to this district, I will say we were much more pleased than we are today. Leadership and administration were much better and teachers were much kinder and genuinely cared about the success of their students. Things have changed and although some children are able to get through t...

The teachers overall were a positive experience. There are some bad apples, teachers who actually will spend a large portion of class wasting time. My kids told me one teacher actually spends a significant amount of class time showing the class things on YouTube. Another I have been told makes it cl...

I just graduated from this school not too long ago. This school was ok. It wasn't the worst and it certainly wasn't the best. As an minority I did have to deal with some ignorant comments here and there. Racial slurs and jokes are heard from time to time. However the teachers(most of them) are reall...

I recently graduated from Plains and the teachers and staff definitely prepared me for my future. I am attending a Big Ten university, and even though PPHS is not a large school, I was taught all I needed to know and more. There is a lacking in diversity in Pleasant Plains, but that will probably ch...
