GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall, my time at Plymouth South has been generally positive. I have not had any issues usually with teachers/administration. The facilities are cleanly and well kept/maintained.

As a rising senior, I have become comfortable with the school and many of the teachers, as the environment and staff are very welcoming.

I love the academics and opportunities at Plymouth south high school. It is a great environment to learn and grow however I feel some staff and students are not held accountable for their actions and have a leg up on others. There is a student who has done some terrible things but said student still has more opportunities than other students who are role model students. I believe this can be fixed by administrators not picking favorites and realizing that talented people can actually do wrong. Throughout my 4 years here I have grown exponentially as a person from very shy and anxious to outgoing and happy. This is because of select clubs and classes in my school which allow me to connect with people who have similar interests as me. This is also due to the incredible staff that have guided me in the right direction even when I was at a low point and not completing all my assignments. These teachers have guided me to be the person I am today and I am forever grateful for them.

I have been going through many health issues, and the entire time I have been here, they have been nothing but rude to me. The school nurse has turned down my doctors' notes and has refused to excuse my absences, despite the fact that one of them was listed as a procedure. I have had a recent incide...

I graduated in 2014 from the tech studies program. Overall, I had a great experience at this school. It prepared me for life after school and I now have a stable job and feel the foundation came from this school. Some insight to some of the comments on here, this school does not hold your hand the e...

Great experience. Success here is very individualized. If kids are heading to college, there are many ap classes, college fairs and scholarships. If they’re heading into the trades, there are tech certification programs and “tool-ships” at graduation. As a parent, I love that everyone has a chance t...

I am a student here, and from my own expirience I can say that attending this school was the biggest waste of 4 years that I have ever gone through. The building itself is in shambles, the heating/ac only works half the time, the ceiling tiles are falling out, and the water from the fountains is alm...
