GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Moving to Ponder was the best decision my family ever made. Everyone here is very nice and accepting. Many opportunities have opened since I have come here. The small town feel makes me feel very welcome.

Ponder High School is a rather small school where everyone knows everyone. Most of the teachers at Ponder are genuinely there to help the students achieve their goals. They are dedicated and I have seen some do more than their fair share to aid a student. However, the school definitely has areas where it could improve. That, in my opinion, being the types of courses offered and ways for students to explore different career paths while in high school.

I love that nearly all the teachers are so passionate about teaching the students, and they seem to really care about them as well.
