GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think the school is good but could use some improvement in some areas. I think the main thing is supporting kids that participate in school extracurricular activities.

Porterville is known to be the school with the most school spirit and it is. I started off scared, but once I started adapting to the school it was less scary and very easy to get involved. The school has many clubs, sports, and teachers that can help you fit in. It is a great school, but sometimes, there could be a lot of incoming students who don't like following rules. It would be best just to surround yourself with people who you feel will make you the best version of yourself.

The best thing about Porterville High School is that there is a tone a school spirit and also how the people there are always so easy to get along with. the worst thing is mostly how some teachers will do the bare minim and not really help you learn and just show you the work

I am actually a graduate of the cross town rival and I must say that I have fallen in love with PHS. The faculty, support staff and the kids have really been nothing short of spectacular. The...
