GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Graduating from Portsmouth High School last month, I felt relieved. I was ready to leave. But with the support team that I had during those 4 years, who helped me stay on top of my class and prepare me for what's next in this life, I couldn't thank them enough.

The teachers were good for the most part, but the other students were almost all rich stuck-up losers. I felt out of place as someone living in government-assisted housing, as there are many million-dollar houses around. Academics were good I think, and the art department was funded which was nice.

I think that portsmouth drama department has a lot of opportunities especially for a public school. We have the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles to compete every year.

As a graduate of PHS I thought they did a good job preparing me for college but little did I know I was not prepared to handle the work load and social experiences. But GO CLIPPERS! You Can’t Sink This Ship!

Awful this school doesn’t give me or anyone the needs they need and just is a negative place in general
