The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

So I am currently going to Herbert Hoover Middle School, and I will not disclose what grade I am in. I will just write about the school and experience. I think there are some great things about this school, but also a lot of things that the school can do to improve the experience. Firstly, teachers are often bias in this school. This includes calling on names and just giving grades. I will not name teacher names, but there are some that are greatly disliked because of class bias as well. Second, our school isn't the best academically compared to other school, especially in competitions and stuff. That does not mean we're a terrible school it just means we need better teachers for that stuff. There is a lot more, but I can't express that information in this message. I want to add that there are good people in this school, but there are also some people that are just not great (students and teachers alike). Yeah, so I think this school isn't too great, and I don't know if I recommend it.

Definitely the worst school I have attended and I have attended 7+ schools. I am now a sophomore in college and still have nightmares about my three years here. The scores are high because the academic pressure is so emphasized and burdens students, causing perfectionism at a far too young age. The...

The kids at this school are quite racist and homophobic, however, that is changing. As for daily life, bullying is normal and homework is abundant. Most children (including me) here don't want to learn. Some teachers try to make learning engaging, but most just try to shove knowledge into our brains...

Pretty good school, teachers though are either really conservitive and will go on rants about how being gay is a sin, or really nice. Kids are somewhat racist and most are extremily homophobic. (the county itself does not really care about minorities, specificly gay and trans people) Counsellers are...
