GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My teachers did very well at making the content understandable. The AP program is strong with many students passing every year. The technical programs (Woodshop, Robotics, etc.) is thorough and gives students resources to apply for internships and technical careers. The music and arts programs are strong and have a lot of community participation.

I would like to see a better football team. I think if we had a better football team we would get more students out to football games and that would have more students involment.

My experience with Gov. John Rogers High School has been overall positive. I've had teachers over the years I've attended that are incredibly passionate about their subject and genuinely lead each student to be successful. There are numerous clubs that allow students to earn volunteer hours and give back to the community. A few things that could be changed is the parking situation and the athletics department.

Rogers is the worst school in the whole wide world; if you are considering moving to the puyallup area, go to Emerald Ridge High School #thethirst

Amazing teachers, a great variety of programs for kids to get involved in. I went to this school six years back, and now my niece attends it. The only problem we've had has been with the guidance counselors. They don't take your concerns seriously, and one of two of them were very rude and talked do...

I went to Rogers a few years back before transferring schools and I thought that the students were very prone to cliques. Not always the friendliest and accepting students that I've come across. Although, a majority of the teachers are truly amazing people, the classes seemed somewhat easy and lacke...
