GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

So far, high school has been good. I have made a lot of friends and I am active in a lot of activities such as softball, basketball, school ambassadors, and National Honor Society. the administration at my school isn't the best, but I do like some of them, and I don't do anything that would get me in trouble or have to be talked to by the administrative staff.

There are a lot of fights and other incidents. We have to go through metal detectors every morning... The building reeks of weed, but if you're able to find a nice little community it's not so bad. The music and arts program is great, we have a lot of fun there. There are lots of wonderful teachers but there are also a couple not so good ones. There are a lot of ups and downs but if you look at things positively it's not a terrible place to be in school.

I would love to say I had a great experience at Horlick. I got to meet many different types of people, and it got me socially ready for the real world. I was able to be apart of some very talented sports teams while playing basketball, baseball and football at Horlick. The academics could been a lot more developed and interactive which would've positioned me more for college but I think you get out of it what you put in.

Fun school. They have some great teachers that really go the extra mile for these kids. Yes, there are some bad kids but its not the schools fault- that blame is the parents! School is what you make of it.

Administration is lacking. Poor teacher quality. Family members left Racine because of growing problems and now reside in Seattle.
