Arapaho Classical Magnet is a Richardson Independent School District public elementary school. The neighborhood school serves kindergarten through sixth grade students. The campus is located off Cypress Drive in northwest Richardson. Following acceptance to the magnet school, students are instructed using various teaching methods and techniques. Students are engaged and encouraged throughout their education at Arapaho Classical Magnet. All classes are taught using Gifted and Talented strategies. Students learn a differentiated curriculum and are empowered with a growth mindset. Arapaho Classical Magnet has an outdoor learning area and an art integration program. The school also has a theater and media arts program. Students love the Annual Spring Musical performed by students in the fourth through sixth grades. Arapaho Classical Magnet is part of an active learning community and encourages parents to volunteer and join the school’s Parent Teacher Association. Local businesses also contribute to the school through fundraising efforts and spirit nights. The school mascot is the Falcons. Students are required to wear a school uniform, but there are several scheduled school spirit days and themed days where students can wear their spirit shirts or other themed clothing. Following the completion of elementary school, students at Arapaho Classical Magnet can apply to a junior high magnet school or attend the junior high school they are zoned to within the district.

I just graduated from here and I have to say, this school is wonderful, no questions asked. However, the teachers treat house leaders as if they are always right and can do nothing wrong but other than that this school is great!

With three kiddos enrolled, 2022 will be our fifth year as an ACM family. In our experience, the entire (teaching, admin, and facility) staff have all been top notch.
