Dover Elementary School is a Richardson Independent School District public school. The school serves prekindergarten through sixth grade students. The campus is located in west Richardson near the Richardson High School Softball Stadium, off Dover Drive. Students love attending Dover Elementary for many reasons. Teachers at Dover Elementary use modern teaching methods to help students’ academic achievement. There is an emphasis on learning with technology. Students in kindergarten through sixth grade have access to their own full-sized iPad to complete their coursework. The prekindergarten curriculum focuses on teaching students social skills and preparing them for kindergarten. Kindergarten through sixth grade curriculum focuses on core courses, including reading and mathematics. Core classes also focus on science and social studies. Students take weekly fine arts and physical education courses. All classes follow the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills standards. Dover Elementary is home of the Dover Dolphins. The school has an active Parent Teacher Association which provides resources to the students and staff. The group also sponsors several community events and fundraisers throughout the school year. Following elementary school at Dover Elementary, students continue their education at one of the junior high schools in the Richardson Learning Community feeder pattern.

This school is phenomenal, I cannot say this enough times. Overall our experiences have been really positive. There is a warm happy atmosphere in the school. Students, staff and the parents I see all have smiles and positive attitudes concerning the school. My child loves going to Dover and she is getting a challenging education.
