Mark Twain Elementary School is a Richardson Independent School District public school. The school serves prekindergarten through sixth grade students. The campus is located off Larkspur Drive in Richardson. The school mascot is the Mustangs.
The school hosts special themed events throughout the year to keep students engaged in learning. Students love to participate in College Awareness Week and Red Ribbon Week. They also enjoy the school’s annual field day.
Students at Mark Twain Elementary enjoy many outdoor learning opportunities throughout the year. The school has a community garden which serves as a living educational tool for all students. Produce grown in the garden is donated to the North Texas Food Bank.
Mark Twain Elementary serves bilingual and monolingual students. Bilingual Spanish classes are available for Spanish speaking students. There are also support programs for English Language Learners. Special education services and counseling services are also available to the students attending Mark Twain Elementary.
Following elementary school, students will move to one of the junior high schools within the Berkner Learning Community feeder boundaries.
