The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have gone to Richford all my life and since it is such a small town I truly feel the connection within our community. The teachers and staff are supportive of the students. I have developed true friendships from attending Richford as well and I feel that my education is valued. Overall my experience at Richford Junior/Senior High School has been successful to help prepare me for the future.

What I liked about Richford Jr Sr High School was the environment within the school. I felt as if I could talk to any teacher at any given time and they would honestly be willing to listen. Since the school is small the student body becomes more of a family. One thing I would like to change is the academics. The way that the teachers taught did not get us ready for College or life in general. I feel there was not enough homework and that the classwork was not challenging enough for some student.

The teachers were good, but that was almost it. Richford is a good environment, and it's easy to connect wit friends. It's hard to find clubs and activities that are interesting. The food is terrible, it used to be a lot better. I know that all school food is bad, but Richford was really bad.
I have a daughter who recently graduated and another still at RJSHS. They both had great opportunities to play sports, perform in music groups and participate in quality academics. The size of Richford meant that they knew all their classmates and had the opportunity to feel supported by their teach...
I have two daughters that attended / do attend RJSHS. They both have had supportive, caring teachers and other adults that have guided them over the years. For a small school, there have been great opportunities for sports, music, and different academic / enrichment activities. My older daughter gra...
I went to RHS many years ago, but have followed its progress over the years and have returned to speak to students about their futures after school. The teachers were, and remain, extraordinary. They prepared us for our own future — college if we desired, rural careers, giving ourselves to others. T...
I attended Richford High School back in the late 90’s. I went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree at a Vermont college. I felt fully prepared to go to college and successfully graduated at the top of my college class. I went on to obtain a job that requires a degree with a high college GPA. I cu...
