GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

At best, my experience at Chariho has been average. The administration has not been very helpful in preparing me for my future and I have not had any support from any guidance counselors in this experience.

My experience at Chariho has had it's ups and downs to say the least. I couldn't ask for better teachers and a better support system. However, admin needs some big changes. Your teachers want to see you succeed and most of them are willing to do whatever it take to make that happen. Admin on the other hand only cares about the school getting more money and couldn't care less about the students/

I am a three-sport Varsity athlete, and I am still stuck taking gym for half of a semester per year. This made me miss out on many opportunities to take different classes that I wanted to take to help prepare for my future. (such as macrobiotics) I wish that I did not have to take this gym class because I play three sports, and I am very active and successful in these sports, I think it is awful that I am graded on my performance in the gym and it is a mandatory class when every day after school for two hours I am participating in physical activity. The best part of my highschool experience was that I got the opportunity to get my CNA licence in my junior year, of course, I got it. This allowed me to be able to start working part-time at a nursing home close by, working with the nursing home residents is amazing and I am so glad that I got the amazing opportunity to strive and get my CNA licence, in college I aspire to pursue my nursing licence, so I am one step closer to my goal.

It has many problems with the Atmosphere of the actual school and The environment the kids have to deal with everyday and and when the Dean or someone is notified about these problems they don't do anything to fix it

This school is incredible for students out of district. In comparison to Westerly High, Chariho teachers want the best for their students and have a positive attitude all the time. The school may not be the most religiously or racially diverse but that does not halt students from expressing their fe...

The teachers look for the best in the students, and overall they prepare you not just for college but for life. Don't listen to these bias "oh they don't care about you" reviews because they are false.

My oldest son had a terrible experience and my youngest son felt like a robot in middle school. They don't do anything for special needs and mental health issues. They just pass the kids along until they push them out
