GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Although not the greatest public school, George Bush provides classes under Dual credit, AP, and Onramps, making it a good school in terms of academics and getting ahead before college. The school spirit was definitely better in 2021 when I was a freshman but Bush continues to encourage its students to participate during spirit weeks. Overall, I give the school a 4 out of 5, it's not so bad but there could be some improvements.

It is not a school that is very academically rigorous. The teachers are nice from what I know. A lot of club involvement. The food is ok for school food. idk about sports here. The school is pretty big, when I walk in the hallway I always see a new face. Again the school is academically easy and doesn't prepare you for college as much as other schools. I was at different school my first two years of high school before I moved here and academically it was tougher which I felt like prepared students better. But teachers are really nice and my councelor is helpful. But this is not true for all the counselors.

The best part about attending this school to me were all the friends I made in my 4 years of going. The friends I made helped me through tough times without even knowing, and vice versa for them. The worst part about attending this school is that very few of the staff members take you seriously, no matter what the problem may be.

This is the actual worst school probably in the whole state of Texas. I’m not sure why it’s still up. Bullying is so prevalent, most teachers hate their jobs and will take it out on you, and even the principal is completely ruthless and unprofessional. I caught her physically harassing a student in...

This school is terrible . I thought Bush was a good school. There are only a few teachers that care about the kids. The administrators don’t try to help the kids. They just find anyway to send kids to alternative schools. Bush is an example of the pipeline to prison. I had to take my son out this sc...

Great school despite what most people may think or say of it. The JROTC program is the best there could be, and, if I'm not mistaken, it is the number one program in the greater Houston area.
