GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think Riverhead High School gives you a lot of opportunities for extracurricular activities that not all schools have. There are a lot of different courses that students can take. The students are given a lot of support by the staff. The safety here is low. And I wish I had been given more college advice sooner.

As a senior in Riverhead High School, their programs have helped me accomplish many goals. Food should be more considered. Also safety with students should be looked at.

Its a big school with tons of academic and extra curricular opportunities during the normal school year. The teachers and guidance department are very supportive.

I don't feel safe when I come here everyday. Their ID system to protect the school doesn't nothing, you get suspended if you don't bring this piece of plastic E-waste to their school every day. The entire school is dirty and filled with garbage, unclean toilets, and in every bathroom, only one sink...

Smells nasty in the hallway and you can barely walk a straight line without getting shoved around and...

School sucks. We get threats every single week and the school does nothing about it. They want to look good but won't fufill our actual needs.
