The school is very clique-oriented, and many people choose to partake in vaping. The school is also extremely sports oriented. However, IHS does have a good arts department and puts good attention and care toward differently abled students. Most of the teachers there care about the students and their learning.

Irondequoit High school is a great school overall. Almost all of the teachers are there to help you in your educational journey. The problem is with the administration. They take actions that are supposed to be for our benefit. However, they make everything less efficient and hinder learning.

Both of my children graduated from IHS after attending Listwood, Iroquois and Dake. They were all excellent schools with parent involvement and very good teachers. Wonderful community. IHS prepared my children well for college, both at Ivy Leagues.
