GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall, I had a good experience in high school. Rogersville is a small town, and with a small town comes ups and downs. I grew up knowing every single person in my grade, and that allowed us to feel a sense of community with our grade. However, small towns are prone to much drama which I also got involved in accidentally. It is hard to avoid that side, but otherwise, I enjoyed my experience and thought it was a good time. Our Student Council cares about the Student Body, and we do have a lot of resources to make it more fun.

The teachers and faculty are very nice. Everything about the school is good or amazing. The only thing that is lacking is the school diversity.

Overall, my experience was good. I had several teachers that I will truly never forget. However, I will say the counselors are not the best there. Half the time they aren't in the office and when they are there you can be standing there sobbing and no one will talk to you unless you have an appointment. So more often than not my teachers ended up being my counselors. The teachers here truly do care about the students not only academically but also as a person.

Highest levels of administration are pitiful. Principals, from elementary and up, are excellent.
