GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I would say that overall it's very welcoming. I often go to schools that are very uptight and reclusive or snobs who are entirely full of themselves. We have a aura of happiness which I've seen spread to other schools. At band competition, people in the Rose Hill band will approach another person of an opposite band just to strike up conversation. They've started games merely for the sake of enjoying the moment to the fullest.

The teachers are either really great or not. The small class sizes allow you to form closer relationships with students and teachers. However, the school does not seem to know its strengths and weaknesses. Rose Hill isn't so great at athletics yet we put so much money into it. What really shines is the art program. The teacher is amazing and wins tons of awards but the rest of the school pays no attention to these achievements and continues not to fund the arts.

I love the atmosphere at the school! Almost all of the teachers and students are nice and helpful! The biggest thing I would change is the major politics in the sports programs and provide more AP classes.

Both daughters graduated from Rose Hill High School and it was a great experience for both. One grandson has graduated and two grandsons will graduate in 2016 and 2018.
