We have had our Cadet at the New Mexico Military Institute for the past 4 years. Our son is a 6th Generation Cadet & we love this school. The accountability and discipline to the mission is job 1. The education that our son is getting is amazing. My wife and I would recommend the school to anyone who is considering.

I like the way they teach leadership, discipline, and honor. NMMI values duty, honor, and achievement. This is a perfect place for you to develop for leadership skills through the military program.

I went there more for diversity rather than education. Most of your classes are going to correlate with the difficulty of college classes and the math classes for highschoolers are awful. The people are really nice and the faculty is always tracking you. they have a lot of clubs and are focused on the military aspect more than anything. There are not a lot of female sports teams. No softball or soccer for college or high school. The high school girls can play on the baseball team but the college girls can't play on the college baseball team. A lot of different cultures and international Students.

Excellent School. I graduated from there 18 years ago. Though the academics were rigorous, I was WELL prepared for university. My professors were so impressed, they asked me to continue on to graduate school - I owe much of my success to NMMI.

My son was branded there by fellow cadets. Unless you want your child to not only have physical scars but emotional scars and spend $$ on therapy I suggest you look elsewhere.

Our son has attended NMMI for 3 years and the school has done wonders for him. He was struggling in a few subjects when he first entered NMMI but now is flourishing in all subjects.
