GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have been at this school since middle school. The safeness of a students' academic and personal life is extremely valuable for each and every staff member here. This school is also very diverse, ranking the most diverse school out of the three exam schools in Boston. However, even though it is an exam school, administrators and teachers do not prepare students for college.

School vibes aren't the best. Starts way too early. The average student wakes up at 5:30 every morning and is at school by 7 am. Most high school students take at least one AP class a year and imagine having to write an essay or attend a AP class at 7:15 in the morning. Lunches could be a lot better although that's on BPS. Security needs to be better as we share a building with another school and there is constant fighting and invading the other school. Academics are pretty good, I mean it's an "exam" school and is ranked one of the highest schools in Massachusetts.

O'Bryant was an adequate school to learn math and sciences while also being in an extremely diverse cultural environment. The school focuses on professional development, however, I did not feel ready for college. It is also lacking in faculty.

One of the worst schools in my honest opinion. The school does not care for students well being or mental health and overwhelms students with homework and excessive tests and consequences for academic difficulties. The school only cares about beating school competition. The school brushes bullying a...

I'm currently a student at the O'Bryant and my first year was horrible, because I didn't really understand the system. Later in the school year, it got a little better and I met some really nice friends. The teachers, however, sometimes overwhelm students with a lot of work and the next day some tea...

Coming into the O'Bryant as a transfer student from Boston Latin School I did not know what to expect. One of the first things I noticed coming when I came to OB is that the teachers where really supportive. Back at BLS I can remember having to rely on myself to pass the classes (Thankfully I eased...
