GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I go to this school and I am a junior who graduates in 2026. I have had my ups and downs in this school but, some of the teachers here are really great. Teachers who make a big impact on your life because they really care. The building is constantly being added to and the upgrades on the building make it worth coming.

It is a really good school with lots of really good resources and gets you ready for college. I really enjoy my time at school. I love the teachers and principals. The school for me is a really safe space and I have a good time in all of my classes while being a really good student in the classroom.

I really have enjoyed High-school and am really going to miss it. I have enjoyed playing varsity football since my sophomore year . And i'm gonna miss all the people I grew up with and went to school with.

This school has poor leadership. The principals have favorite students who they allow to get away with whatever they want. If you go to the principals over an issue or someone bulling they sweep the issue under the rug where it continues to happen. The teachers cuss the kids out and tell them they w...

too many drugs in the highschool restroom. RCISD is growing too fast with not enough resources. Highschool is too crowded... Save your money and buy somewhere else. RCISD has the highest number of HISPANICS sent to alternative school. These are facts!!!! Reference TEA

Absolutely awful! Disengaged teachers, safety issues galore, horrible administration and leadership. I'd give zero stars if I could. My son will be a Junior, we are giving it one last quarter before we pull him out. Last chance. I'm concerned for him every day I drop him off.

RCHS is mediocre at best, with very few good teachers, and horrible students. This school does not care about its students, staff, or families involved. I was heavily bullied this past school year, and was discouraged by staff to bring it up or file reports. The students bullying were allowed to cont...
