Home of the Bobcats, D.W. Babcock Elementary has proudly served North Sacramento for over 65 years. This public school teaches students from preschool through 6th grade. Among Babcock Elementary’s distinguishing qualities is its focus on treating its students holistically— from nutritious food options in its Smarter Lunchroom Program to weekly lessons in drama, dance, and music for all students. Furthermore, the school offers a full-day preschool program, which teaches 3-to-5-year-olds the basics of personal reflection and collaboration. Students at Babcock Elementary can also opt in for summer school. This program offers students a chance to retain skills acquired during the school year, while exploring new ways of learning and thinking. During the academic year, students may also enroll in the Expanded Learning Program, an after-school program that offers academic support and enrichment activities. Parents are encouraged to get involved through the school’s fundraisers, festivals, and field trips. Staff plays a large role in your child’s learning journey, as well, teaching the importance of kindness, responsibility, and safety. D.W. Babcock offers your children a place to thrive and blossom into their best selves.

The school has a diverse population and everyone is cared for as far as i have seen. The teachers are great and have a passion for what they do. No school is perfect. My children learned a lot and their teachers are great. They are trying their best. Thank you Babcock!
