GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This school is okay when it comes to academics. They just started to do college credit courses last year. They have a lot of challenging courses for students who want to go the extra mile. Most of the teachers who teach the college classes know what there doing so it makes its easier for the students. I love how the teachers who teach the college credit courses are so involved with the students and want them to succeed. Most of the scheduling process is fairly easy and the counselor is very knowledgable about all of the courses.

My overall experience at this high school has been okay. I haven't had anything extravagant happen to me. You basically just take it day by day. The school is unique because you can see a lot of people who went there in there teenage years and they still live in the neighborhood. I don't think I would choose this school again if I could do it all over because the school does not really have a lot of opportunities for students and I feel like I could have went to a bigger and better school and been involved and learn how to communicate with different diverse people.

Zero academic accountability. School is teetering on state takeover. Pride in ignorance.

Me, my wife, and my son graduated from St. Bernard-Elmwood Place School system (1981 and 2007) with the same issues of poor preparation for college. My son and my wife lost their scholarships to NKU in the first year on campus because of the pathetic education in this school system. I truly regret s...
