It is a strong high school in some aspects, but I feel that too much concern is placed on sports and activities whilst academics lags behind. I also feel that the school board and administration are wildly partisan and do not care about the students. Each election for the school board is a bloodbath.

A lot of the teachers genuinely cared about the students. Most of them got to know their students, which made it easier to want to stay engaged in class. Although, there were some teachers that were very rude and it didn't seem like they cared about anyone but themselves. The classes were all passable, if you payed attention in class. Otherwise, students would get lost and not know what is going on.

Had the best 4 years of high school I could imagine at Francis Howell. As a hispanic student it's hard to find a place you know that isn't I guess like not welcoming but this school was genuinely good to me. It is so good with mental health as I was struggling as well .

A competitive academic environment where my children have good teachers who are accessible to our students and us as parents. The teachers, counselors, and administrators "partner" with our family to help us create the best educational environment for our kids. We love it here!

I cannot say enough positive things about Francis Howell High School! Great teachers, coaches and students! My daughter has thrived at FHHS academically and socially and is proud to be a Viking!
