The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall, Lafayette high school has been a great experience. Most of the teachers know what they're doing and teach their classes well. My only problem with the school would be the students themselves, as quite a few of them have less than fortunate behavior.

I also wish that there was more options for classes and better involvement throughout the district. I also wish that the schools were better at preparing for college because I feel like that most teachers are just doing their jobs... not pushing us to excel.

Some of our resources are a little run down, but the teachers are very inspiring and do their best with what they have.
