In Greater Pinellas Point, Bay Point Middle School supports over 800 students in sixth through eighth grade with a specialized magnet program, extensive extracurriculars and career development. Founded in the 1960s, Bay Point has offered its magnet program since 1993. The campus was renovated in 2002, and modernized classrooms now feature electronic whiteboards and laptops for students. Bay Point attracts students interested in career-focused STEM curricula designed to enhance college admission potential. The school’s Center for Advancement of the Sciences and Technology draws students from all over the county for accelerated learning opportunities. This magnet program is available by application only, and students already zoned to attend the school are encouraged to apply. Students can also apply for the STEM Explorer Club, a free, extended learning program that fosters creativity through innovative engineering, coding and hands-on problem-solving. Further development opportunities include the Principal's Multicultural Advisory Committee, National Junior Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America. Outside of academics, students find enrichment in electives such as band, digital art, television production, engineering and computer coding. They can also join clubs for Dungeons & Dragons and Minecraft. With volleyball, basketball and track teams rounding out the offered activities, Bay Point has options to suit every student’s preference.

It was an alright school. I wish the school provided more clubs and student activity. I feel like this middle school didn't really prepare me for high school at all.

This school DOES NOT address bullying. They talk the talk , but it is ONLY talk. They are aware that bullying goes on . It almost appears that is is similar to gang mentality. It is appalling ! We chose this magnet program and it was a HUGE mistake!!!!
