Thurgood is a fundamental school but also has great programs for theater, band, art, and college readiness. School buses are safe and mostly on time. They just started an after school sports program. The nurse is only on campus a couple days a week. Overall recommend this middle school.

Thurgood Marshall Middle School isn't always the safest place, the administration doesn't seem to care too much about children's problems. Lots of kids there come out rude and mean (as I know)

The students are respected, kept safe, and learn at the highest level. The teachers care, go above and beyond, and are phenomenal.The admin runs a tight ship and investigates every See Something, Say Something tip. We love TMFMS!

As a current student of this school, the behavior has vastly improved this year. Last year, there were a bunch of fights (15 total, 100+ mini fights all of the 15 were in the 2nd semester). As a former student of TMFMS, I will never recommend this school for the Fundamental program. If you are fundamental, you are treated like you're less than what you are capable of.
