Woodlawn Elementary School is the only elementary school located in the Woodlawn Oaks neighborhood and welcomes children from preschool through fifth grade. Woodlawn Elementary is a Title I school, which allows it to get additional state funding that other schools may not be eligible to receive. There are clubs for students to join depending on their interest, one of which being the popular gardening club that teaches pupils how to grow their own fruits and vegetables. The on-campus garden is a excellent place to learn firsthand.
Woodlawn Elementary has a plethora of programs to help children fulfill their true potential. There is on-campus tutoring and mentoring as well as an afterschool program that allows children to have one-on-one time with teachers and review subjects with which they may need a little assistance. If your student loves science, they will truly enjoy the on-campus science lab which is a truly unique feature for an Elementary school.
This beloved school is geared toward allowing every child to learn in their own way. Whether they love math, science or reading, this is an environment that will allow children to thrive and be all that they can be.

Our daughter went here and her VPK teacher was great. Her time here was wonderful and was a great starting point for her school experience. Her socialization and education was a good and solid experience. Wonderful to see teachers and assistants that enjoy teaching, it does make a difference

My son this year was completely discouraged from school because he says that "they don't teach him anything", there was a fight between children yesterday where they fisted and the teacher just looked and said stop, without doing anything about it, the classroom toilet Classroom is deficient. my daughter has went to this school for 3 years now and she has constantly had to deal with bullying and the administration is not doing anything about it and neither is the school board. I would highly recommend not sending your child to the school

My son has had a great experience at Woodlawn. The teachers and staff are awesome, there are tons of great after school after school clubs and plenty of chances for parents and family to get involved. We love it here!
