GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

As a high school senior that has been going to idea carver since 6th grade I can say that idea carver is a school that prepares you very well for college.

At the school I enjoyed the teachers. They are very welcoming and go the extra mile to work with parents and students in their academic work or extracurricular activities. They provide welcoming and a tight knit community to new students or faculty. The bad part it that administration and how it has horrible communication with the IDEA and the other IDEAS in different parts of the city and states. They also have been hiring some bad help for treasury and test makers. I would like for them to get a better administration and not mess up the already great environment that the school has with teacher and students.

I went to IDEA Carver College Prep from 2016 to 2022, and graduated in 2022. My experiences from the school were amazing the teachers did everything to get me and my class to graduate.

I saw bad reviews in this site, but this is my child’s second year with this school and LOVES it. The kids are 100% more well mannered than others, teachers are beyond helpful and the communication is ridiculously good. IDEA has been a blessing.

Overall I must say that I was fooled by the reviews that I read when applying for the school. The vast majority of the staff needs to learn "people skills". Whenever you present a concern to them, they make you feel like you are bothering them. The school appearance and maintenance is AWESOME, but w...
