GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience with Madison high school is a good one. There are many different extracurricular activities you can join and overall some of the people there are nice. I would say one of the best parts of my experience would be being able to join and be accepted into the clubs and sports team.

As a dual student-athlete, learning to manage time and all activities between tennis practice and basketball practice has set me up for a lifetime of discipline. The administration is what has set the school district above all others, between all the hard work and long nights, the administration works tirelessly to make sure the student in our district, NEISD, and at Madison High School, have the highest chance for success.

Overall I enjoyed my experience at madison. Like any school, it had its problems (such as buildings that needed updating) but overall it was a great expereience.

I have two children who have attended Madison. My son graduated in 2010 and my daughter is currently a sophomore. I feel that the faculty and staff are dedicated and professional. My daughter has special accommodations and my son was an AP student; both have benefited from the wonderful administrato...

The school as a whole doesn't advocate for kids. Teachers aren't invested in student success and as a result many are left to fall through the cracks. The principal, Debra Acevedo-Torres, is a poor leader and very unprofessional, particularly with the staff. Most recently she was seen at a bar with...
