GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

A lot of teachers are very inspiring and motivational. Even if they did do the curriculum wrong I personally wouldn't have a problem with that because the way they teach a lesson is what matters to me the most. The workload was suprisingly not heavy at all. Looking back on it I really don't know how I did it, we barely got any homework and I still managed to understand the lessons very vividly.

What I've noticed is that, there is always AC on, all the time... Even if it's practically winter, there's AC on. I don't know if thats because this is San Diego and we have 'great weather all the time' or what, but I almost practically freeze to death. It seems like most of the time you'll be wearing sweaters inside the buildings rather than outside, then it gets extremely hot. I'd say classrooms are usually fairly 'nice' and organized. I quoted nice because I don't know what this question means by 'nice' but for being biased I'd say they are. Usually classrooms are fairly organized because teachers have to be organized to begin with, but sometimes this isn't the case. If it's an AP class, I'd most definetly understand why, other than that there shouldn't be a problem putting a minimum of putting 30 papers, 7 classes each in 7 different folders. Not being biased now, I guess you could say it really just depends on the teacher and their preferences.A lot of parents get involved, well... definetly more than I'd imagine. This is extremely helpfull. Parents are like the holy grail to social networking when it comes to education. We look up to you guys more than teachers, mostly for the fact that you're nicer, speak slowly and give good pure advice whether it's about college, or relationships. You guys are always on point, highly prejudice or not. Also, you guys never seem to hesitate when we ask you guys questions. Thank you parents of Point Loma, my favorite humans. Technology is great here. I'd rather be in the library than be in my own bedroom to be honest. The library has a fair amount of computers and laptops, we also have a few computer labs. Most of the classrooms have their own set of netbooks. It feels like a huge era of mass production. We certainly have many kids that attend this school but it kind of seems like for once in life theirs actually too much of technology. You could have like 2 laptops or computers to a person that actually needs to use them.

In my experience teaching at 10 different schools, I have found that Correia stands out as the most challenging. The dynamics between parents, students, and the principal create a difficult environment. The principal, who is friendly with many parents, struggles to address complaints effectively, of...

My child is excited to go to school has better grades and they have had in previous schools for the same timeframe. Finding friends is been a little bit difficult but the teachers have been very supportive. I l...

It is awful to be in this school. Every day I wake up, the last thing I want to do is come here. There are much better middle schools I've been at like Bernardo Heights middle school. The homework here is pretty good, we're not assigned much and the majority of work is in class. Some teachers are ac...
