GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It has been full of ups and downs. I like some of the classes but I dislike the bathroom graffiti and smoking and the fact that they are never open.

Hoover is a really good school although it has its up and downs like every other school, I like being at hoover. The teachers are good ,some are strict. The students are nice and we have a friendly environment there is fights sometimes. One sad thing is that there isnt that much school spirit so at games there isnt that much cheering. And hoover is really diverse

Hoover High School if purely were to be graded on subject, in other words how a subject is taught. It would be 4 stars, this is because while the subject they provide are extensive, some of the teachers are not qualified to be teaching students.

Great. Came from a difficult situation and found a foundation on my life. Wish I could remember the name of the home room twacher and gym/tennis teacher who made me feel safe andgavw me courage in 1977

I've noticed a lot of these reviews are really vague and generally unhelpful, so i've taken it upon myself to give an accurate description of the environment here. The students: Very diverse, to the point where caucasian students are the minority. Students are generally peaceful but there is a "bad...
