The community is very energetic and very nice towards each other. Although I do hope that the school in the future will be much bigger.

The school is amazing. The teachers are great at their jobs and I was friends with many of my peers. Any trouble I had academically the teachers would try their best to help me understand the material.

Luis Valdez Leadership Academy, as a whole, has good intentions. The goal of the school is to get a majority or if possible all enrolled students to graduate and go down the college/university path. It is greatly reflected by the teachers who have the best intentions and noticeably care a ton. There are obstacles that interfere with those plans. A person must make do and work with what they are given. Public school isn't always top-notch, but LVLA has its perks.

I was first hesitant to attend Luis Valdez Leadership Academy because it wasn't your typical "big public high school." However, the resources and opportunities offered at LVLA are great. Not only do they offer a one on one support system for students, but the teacher here are always willing to help...
