I am very happy with the school choice for our son. The AICE program is rigorous, and they keep a good supportive structure available to troubleshoot any scheduling issues.

The best parts about Sarasota High School are the teachers, students, and staff. I transferred to Sarasota Highschool after my junior year and all of the teachers, students, and staff have been so welcoming. The worst parts about Sarasota High are probably the bathrooms because kids vandalize and ruin the bathrooms daily.

I like the variety of class choices. The teacher's willingness to help and support the students. The cafeteria needs desperately to have a better selection/variety of food. Pizza and chicken all the time gets boring. Needs healthy choices.

I have had 3 of my children attend SHS. One still there in 9th grade. They offer a wide variety of activities. The staff communicates with parents. And encourages parents to be involved.

I would agree with the school progress rating of a 2, as my son has made below average academic progress at this school. His academic performance greatly declined since attending here. He went from an above average advanced student to below average since attending Sarasota High. The school could do...
