GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall, Saugatuck High School is wonderful. The teachers are incredible, and I have been super lucky to get some of the best ones.

Saugatuck has been under performing for many years now. Both the faculty and the kids often get away with sweeping big issues like bullying, sexual assault, mental health issues, homophobia, transphobia, and racism under the carpet to not be noticed. More often than not if you are someone within a minority, you're going to be separated from the crowd unless you can find a way to fit yourself in. It's a horrible environment that I have never once felt safe in.

I love the close-knit community of students and faculty. The environment was very welcoming and inclusive.
