Created in 1845, St. Vincent’s Academy has proudly stood at the corner of Lincoln and Liberty Street, serving girls in Savannah communities for over a century. What started as a boarding school and orphanage is now a private Catholic day school, offering education to girls from ninth to 12th grade. With just under 300 students, the academy boasts an 8-1 student-teacher ratio, making personalized education attainable for all students. Annual tuition is expensive for the area, averaging around $11,000. The school offers 13 sports, multiple clubs and organizations, making it easy to find a new passion and get involved in school spirit. Striving to provide students with academic and personal success, the school has teamed up with the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) to offer an extensive arts program. St. Vincent’s Academy also offers foreign languages, computer science and religion courses that interest students and encourage them to foster their leadership skills. Teachers and staff aim to serve students by encouraging them to strive for personal, spiritual and intellectual growth, creating future community leaders. Between the intimate class size, high graduation rate and opportunity for graduates to continue their education in college, this is a highly recognized and sought-after school in the Savannah area.

Since it was an all girls school, I made connections with every single person in the school. The sisterhood will last forever.

My overall experience as a student has not been great. From the administration to the students. The administration do not show they care. They walk around with attitudes and do nothing about our complaints. They let certain students get away with whatever.

St. Vincent's is not only full of tradition and rooted in it's Catholic principles, but also full of faculty, staff and administration that truly care about the students and families. The academics, sports and extracurriculars are top notch and competitive. For safety, there is an on campus officer...

This school does not work with their students and discourages staff when these same students seek support. The best teachers at this school get crushed by the administration and it’s sad to see such a historical school being destroyed. Tradition isn’t everything and this school is being left behind...

Wanna talk about hell on earth! Send your daughter here. The way the administration disregards their students needs is absolutely deplorable. It is so upsetting to see such an upstanding historical establishment fall so far under this new administration.

My daughter is well prepared for college and has had four great years there. She will be attending one of the top universities in the country in the fall. SVA really empowers these woman to lead.
