GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

for the most part i think it was an okay experience i am now a senior but it was a really scary place and not that safe but there are some really good teachers like mr king, and if you like sports you should go there they have upped their security though so thats good.

Garfield has issues with budget and safety. Gun violence is prevelent. Vaping has been a huge issue as well. Budget shortfalls have resulted in certain classes being cut. Despite these flaws, it remains a decent school with great teachers and academics.

The best experience that I had in Garfield was the school spirit and the staff that help you find appropriate for college. What I hope that Garfield would change is better security due to the surrounding areas.

I graduated, at the cost of my mental health. But hey, there's really great fried chicken across the street.

Worst school experience imaginable. School desperately needs better leadership. Poor students, many of them fall through the cracks because no one in administration cares or does their job well.

Garfield High School has some absolutely terrible teachers. Whoever does the hiring should be fired.
