Freshman year was pretty typical. Made lots of friends. I had a really good music teacher, but then budget cuts forced her to quit. Sophomore year sucked. I had a really bad teacher that gave me so much anxiety that I started taking meds. Junior year was great, no problems.

It was great, however, I don't think there was enough push to get kids to go into extracurriculars, however, the community, campus, sports teams, and departments, including the arts departments were wonderful. The teachers were great, always supportive of whatever path you wanted to take, and were excellent at reducing stress and managing your workload alongside you. My short time in the art department is something I hold dearly in my heart, as arts and humanities are the first to go in most schools when it comes to educational funding, However, the art spaces at Nathan hale were beyond accepting and resourceful with what they had, making it a truly special community to be a part of.

My experience at Nathan Hale High School has been a interesting one. A lot of Good teachers but a few terrible ones. The counselors were good until this year now they dont do nearly as much. The school itself is nice but kids thrash on it. The sports culture is terrible and not a lot of stability for players who are really committed. Leaving a big gab between players who do it for fun and players who are serious. The food was terrible my first 2 years i don't know about this year.

We were happy to send our daughter to a racially and economically diverse school (the next nearest high school is anything but), and the teachers are really great. They create a culture of acceptance and inclusion. The only unfortunate issue that the school does actually have control over is that th...

As a freshmen I was scared going to hale, I thought it was a gang school and a lot of my friends were going to Roosevelt so I was worried about socializing. My opinion immediately changed and I suddenly had a great group of friends both from the school volleyball team and just meeting people in clas...

I personally like this school. I'm currently coming back as a junior, and my experience as a sophomore was quite exceptional. I wasn't pleased with the freshman that year, too many annoying freshmen cliques. I sincerely hope that the incoming freshmen this school year are gonna be at least a bit bet...
