GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

North High School offers a wide variety of course options which has been helpful to explore all interests, there is something for everyone. The rigor is widely different also in course options. I have been able to take high level courses to prepare for college. The safety, environment and security of the school is the worst of my experience. Numerous threats to safety over the last two years and it seems to increase by the month.

The teachers and curriculum is interesting and preparing me for college. Like other schools there is a fair amount of drug and vaping use.

Not one school is perfect and that is why I am giving it 4 stars. So far in high school, North has made my experience very fun and it makes me want to go back to school. We have multiple fun events that I always look forward to. I would like to see a change in North is being more social with the children with disabilities. I never see them and I would really like to.

This school has prioritize life skills over standards test scores. They look at the child. They have encouraged her invo...

Very average. It’s a school and they get the “school” part great. But the secretaries are not very helpful and make a lot of excuses.
